Biostimulator Threads at ReDerm use PLACL (poly-L-lactic acid-co-caprolactone) threads — a superior alternative to traditional PDO threads. They provide an immediate mechanical lift while simultaneously stimulating collagen production as they gradually dissolve. The dual effect gives visible lifting now plus long-lasting collagen improvement.
PDO threads dissolve in 3–6 months and provide mainly mechanical lift. PLACL threads last longer (6–12 months before dissolving) and trigger significantly stronger collagen induction as they dissolve. Results from PLACL threads typically last 12–18 months — longer than PDO. ReDerm does not offer PDO threads.
Thread lifts at ReDerm treat the face and jawline (cheeks, midface, jowls, jawline, brow lift, nasolabial fold reduction) and the nose (nose threadlift for definition and tip refinement). Face and jawline threadlift is performed by Dr Nuk and Dr Eark. Nose threadlift is performed exclusively by Dr First (Dr. Sawangwarach).
The number depends on the area and degree of laxity. As a guide: 2–4 threads for subtle lift or prevention; 4–8 threads for moderate lift; 8 or more for a more comprehensive result. Buying 3 or more threads is more economical at THB 5,000 per thread. The doctor will recommend the right number during consultation.
Local anesthesia is used for comfort. Most clients describe only mild pressure or tightness during treatment.

Some lift is visible immediately after treatment. As initial swelling resolves over 1–2 weeks, the result becomes more natural and defined. Collagen production then continues to build for 1–3 months. Peak results appear at 1–3 months and typically last 12–18 months.
With YourLine threads, results typically last 18–24 months. Maintenance sessions can prolong results.
Minimal but notable. You may experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness at entry points for a few days. Slight dimpling at the skin surface is normal and settles within 1–2 weeks. Most patients return to normal activities within 1–3 days. Avoid strenuous activity and facial manipulation for 1–2 weeks.

First 24 hours: sleep on your back with head elevated, do not touch or massage the area. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection at the treatment site, with bleeding disorders, or on blood thinners without medical guidance. Patients with very thin or severely lax skin may not hold threads well — the doctor will assess. Autoimmune conditions are assessed individually.
